Diaspora African Forum Celebrates Milestone in Citizenship Events for African Diaspora
The Diaspora African Forum (DAF) is proud to announce its successful collaboration with key stakeholders in hosting two major citizenship events for the African Diaspora in 2024.
The events, which took place on April 15-17, 2024, and November 11-13, 2024, brought together over 5,000 African Diaspora individuals from around the world, who were granted citizenship in their countries of origin.
DAF, in partnership with various African governments and diaspora organizations, facilitated the citizenship ceremonies, which marked a significant milestone in the journey of the African Diaspora towards reconnecting with their roots.
“We are thrilled to have played a role in helping thousands of African Diaspora individuals reclaim their citizenship and reconnect with their heritage,” said Ambassador Erieka Bennett, Founder and Head of Mission of the Diaspora African Forum.
“These events demonstrate the power of collaboration and the importance of recognizing the contributions of the African Diaspora to the development of Africa.”
The citizenship events were a culmination of months of planning and coordination between the DAF, African governments, and diaspora organizations. The events featured cultural performances, traditional ceremonies, and keynote addresses from dignitaries, including African heads of state and diaspora leaders.
We are committed to continuing our work in promoting the interests of the African Diaspora and facilitating their reconnection with their countries of origin. We look forward to building on the success of these citizenship events and exploring new opportunities for collaboration and engagement.
